Meet the Doctor
Joyce Y. Chang, DMD, MS practices in her solo orthodontic practice in Windsor, California. She attended Stanford University and majored in Biological Sciences.
She then graduated from Harvard School of Dental Medicine with a DMD degree. Unlike most other orthodontists, she worked as a general dentist with the US Public Health Service on the Hualapai, Hopi, and Navajo reservations for four years. As a result of her experience, she understands all aspects of dentistry and has expertise in coordinating complex cases with other dental professionals.
After her stint with the USPHS as a general dentist, she attended the esteemed University of Michigan where she earned her Certificate in Orthodontics.
In her spare time, Dr. Chang enjoys endurance cycling, yoga, traveling, and knitting.
Meet the Staff
Rebecca Hernandez
Rebecca graduated from College of Marin in 2012 with her registered dental assisting license. She also completed her Associates degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences at SRJC. Rebecca grew up in Marin and now loves living in Sonoma County with her husband and one-year-old daughter. Her 12 years of dental experience include working in general dentistry, pediatrics and orthodontics. When she discovered orthodontics, she knew she had found her perfect fit. She loves working with kids as well as connecting with adults and is always excited to see the patient’s results! She enjoys hiking, Pilates, cooking and living a holistic lifestyle. In 2021, she became a certified holistic health coach specializing in hormone health where she strives to help other women achieve a life of balance and wellness.
Pamela Walls
Meet our Windsor Orthodontics office manager Pamela Walls. Pamela is a Sonoma County native. She has lived here since 1978. Pamela has been in the dental industry since 1984. Over the past 39 years, she worked at a local dental insurance company, a pediatric dental office for 30 years, and has been in orthodontics since 2018. She comes with a big smile, a world of experience and a wealth of dental knowledge.
Pamela loves seeing familiar faces in the office from her many years at the pediatric office, seeing her then pediatric patients to now grown-up parents. She says, “Working in orthodontics gives me great pleasure knowing we have made our patient so confident and happy with their new lifetime smile.”
Pamela is married, has 3 grown boys and 2 beautiful little granddaughters. She loves to travel, spend time with her family and friends, and enjoys the outdoors either walking, hiking or learning golf.
